FACEBOOK HELP - PLEASE!

Many people have written and posted to tell me that they have tried to link to this blog on Facebook only to be told that "the site contains material that has been reported as inappropriate by some people".

Does anyone know how to fix this? Does anyone know how this might have happened? Would posting something like an Edward Weston nude have triggered this? Any Facebook honchos out there who can help?

Thanks,
James.

I've heard that Facebook has a "no nipple" policy, but I thought that was just for images posted directly on FB. Don't ask me how I know that.

James, I hope that someone has the solution to this. It amazes me that anyone would have thought there was "abusive" material on your site, when all it is is informative and artistic. It's not fair for them to be limiting your exposure to new readers (no pun intended).

I don't have an answer for you but thought I'd chip in with some news I heard on the radio this morning. A woman was being interviewed as her artwork (she paints)of breastfeeding mothers were pulled by facebook. When she re-uploaded the images to her page facebook threatened to close her account. Even in the new moder age, ensorship is alive & well in the puritanical us of a.

I've run into that issue when I try to share a post of yours. It makes me really sad, because I always want to share your blogs. ;_;

Good luck fixing it--and let me know when you get it done.

Facebook has a lot problems with these things, i.e. copyright issues. My friend has the same problem with his blog. It's just a way for Facebook collecting data and then selling it later (for piles of money) to corporations.

just wanted to mention that you could run into a similar problem with blogger. They also reserve the right to pull or block your blog if they deem material offensive or in appropriate. I guess one needs to remember that FB and blogger are free and that it does not come with any real user rights. Just like one does not have any expectancy of privacy when using a free email account.
You prob. are already doing so , but if not, may I suggest backing up this blog so you have the content in case you need or want to move it to a new host.

It started doing so when you had alot of posts about Shepard Fairy. I would imaging that some one disagreed with your view and said that it was offensive material so other people couldnt view it. Im unsure of what the fix is. Sorry
