Showing what you can do with stop-motion film-making, this short by PENStory was made after shooting 60.000 pictures, making 9.600 prints and re-shooting over 1.800 pictures.
that was inspiring and uplifting. thanks for sharing this on a cloudy friday!
Boy, that was as tedious to look at as it must have been to make. Now, I'm sorry. I know that is not an uplifting comment, but I doubt if the feelings of Olympus will be hurt.
Thank you so much for posting this! I think the technique is remarkable.
While I love this short, the issue of Olympus not crediting that they had very obviously taken the concept from Dokugyunyu's "Stop motion with wolf and pig", and their weak excuse for why not, still irritates me.Which is a pity, because as a work this film is fantastic!http://www.pdnpulse.com/2009/07/did-olympus-steal-idea-for-viral-ad-about-ep1-camera.html
It's like building a latter to the moon...
there seems to be a trend for subtle marketing these days (i was going to say sneaky, but that seems too negative for my meaning)... putting out a piece of art and then revealing it to be an advertisement only at the very end (and sometimes even then only implied). lovely music, lovely visual, lovely idea. i like this trend.
Love this technique and the song was really sweet. Don't know why but I HAVE to go camera shopping like now.:)
this is true art!
