Weekend Video - Dylan Interview

For those who have seen the Todd Haynes film "I'm Not There" this clip of an interview with the real Dylan is a startling confirmation of how amazingly Cate Blanchett inhabited the role. For those who haven't yet seen the film - a reminder to see it now that it's out on DVD.

I'm not completely sure, but I think this clip that you show here is from "Don't Look Back", which is far more engrossing than the Todd Haynes thing. They're two different vehicles -- "Don't Look Back" is a 1967 documentary by DB Pennebaker, and is a must-see, and "I'm Not There" is an art film.

You are correct on all your factual points, but for me the Todd Haynes film, which seemed muddled at first view seemed much more interesting on a second viewing - which is take nothing away from the Pennebaker documentary.

Just to say congrats on getting a mention in October's UK Vogue. It's a great blog and I agree with all the compliments they make!
