Weekend Video

As it's the 4th July weekend, I'm taking a break and posting the weekend video early, but not too early to predict that this will be the song of the summer. It's Keri Hilson's "Knock You Down" with guest singers Kanye West and Ne-Yo - a triple threat if there ever was one!

(If you disagree let me know.)

Agreed. It's gonna be huge! :) Good call.

I think the video is cheesy. Such a prescribed formula, girl frolicking on a bed, and random posing or vogueing (sp). I think the song's message gets lost in the video (read: advertisement). It makes me miss Missy Elliott's videos.

I actually like this song/video.. usually don't prefer things like this. But I've been watching it a lot recently.

Yawn. Can't dance to it.
Besides, I think that new/forgotten MJ tracks will get released and blow everything off the charts for a while this summer. Digital media can make it happen faster than vinyl.

This is definitely not my taste in music. To me it sounds like so many other songs I've heard, so I wouldn't notice if it becomes the "song of the summer". And why even when the song is by a woman does that woman have to roll around on a bed in her underwear? Powerful? No. Objectifying? Yes.

Sorry to disagree. This is a real snoozfest. Mainstream bling bling boredom.

I would like to add my name to those who say this is hollow, redundant, and not entertaining. The photography is not even very good.

I guess I am becoming an old curmudgeon.

it never really gets going and certainly is not vibrant, so a disagreement from me

i like it but it's going to get overplayed and old.

it is definitely one of the songs of the summer, and though i also disagree with the frolicking around in bed, i enjoyed the video : )

I love this song and the video. It certainly features the hottest stars in hip-hop today. The video of course is highly stylized and shot to be enjoyed on small screens such as an IPOD.

It think it is definitely one of the songs of the summer, but the definition of "song of the summer" depends on your tastes in music. The beat seems very influenced by Southern and East coast hip-hop but yet doesn't tie itself to one particular form of hip-hop, which in my mind makes it great to dance to.

On another note, I was going through my Domino magazines for inspiration on how to redecorate my living room. Guess who I saw (anew)in one of the issues?!

I like the beat when Kanye sings, but not so much in love with the chorus...

I love this by Album:
