I'm on my way to San Francisco and Carmel for a few days of meetings with photographers, museums, and galleries. As there shouldn't be any lack of internet access I imagine I will post from the coast, but it might be a day or two.
Lucky, lucky you. I miss being able to go to San Francisco (I'm from California). Enjoy the wonderful Bay weather, enjoy Carmel, and make it into Monterey if possible (which shouldn't be hard, if you driving on the 1). Drink some Central Coast wine!
I just wanted to let you know that I religiously read your blog. I am a young (meaning new to photography not young in age)photographer and I am soaking up inspiration anywhere I can get it. Especially here. I might not make comments but I am here too - hope that thought does not spook you. Thank you for your contribution to my inspiration, I am sure the are many others out there who are just like me...reading and admiring in silence.
"If only all blogs were as life-affirming and tender-hearted as that of gallerist James Danziger. Whether his focus falls on the work of an individual artist or a particular theme, The Year in Pictures is compulsive reading."
James Danziger has been involved in photography for a long time.
This blog is a record of photographs (and a few other things) that have captured his attention.
