Yet, I suppose if everyone brought cameras, and they were going off constantly, flashes and all, it would be a bit irritating and difficult to enjoy the exhibit. The Photodiaristhttp://photodiarist.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-12999297238258339002010-05-01T14:59:24.932-04:002010-05-01T14:59:24.932-04:00My husband said exactly the same thing as you when...My husband said exactly the same thing as you when he saw the shot.

love your photo of LA MoonriseCalifornia Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12582691517303132274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-11374780397994412772010-04-30T12:51:40.322-04:002010-04-30T12:51:40.322-04:00I adore this woman! I am so tired of this attitude in galleries, Joe is spot on when he points out the double standards that galleries have at a time when they should embrace and celebrate public photography.indigo16https://www.blogger.com/profile/16982477144454205765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-2049027018695713022010-04-28T23:42:41.396-04:002010-04-28T23:42:41.396-04:00makes me half expect to walk in and see a diagonal...makes me half expect to walk in and see a diagonal line through every photograph in the show!!Adshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14144078269130863306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-9629217594857231262010-04-28T20:07:22.208-04:002010-04-28T20:07:22.208-04:00haha! love the ironyhaha! love the ironyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-92192698132014377842010-04-28T18:31:17.738-04:002010-04-28T18:31:17.738-04:00absolutely right. Dozens of people are sneaking photos in exhibits like these every minute.

The photos are out there, on Flickr and Facebook and blogs. And not just cell phone snaps; here's a photo from a medium format Mamiya: http://bit.ly/bc77Ar

(And the worst is when guards ignore people snapping cell phone photos but stop people with better cameras. Apparently museums are happiest when the world is filled with crappy images of their exhibitions.)Joe Holmeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08741278269759513642noreply@blogger.com
