However, I got a chill down my spine when I saw that you left out Richard Misrach, Joel Sternfeld and William Christianberry. Yeah, maybe they started SLIGHTLY later than Shore and Eggleston but these 3 guys are the keepers of the colorist flame....especially Misrach. His whole body of work (Desert Cantos, Sky series and Golden Gate series) adds cotton candy color to his concerns about the environment, politics and the landscape in a way that seduces the eye to look and then compels one's soul to feel and think. Love your blog. Keep it up.<BR/>Ray.RAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08936697848965613677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-57936230041722262192008-11-17T15:22:00.000-05:002008-11-17T15:22:00.000-05:00this was fascinating, james.this was fascinating, james.Paul Pincushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05238236951876804955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-55951228160881190552008-11-13T21:18:00.000-05:002008-11-13T21:18:00.000-05:00thanks for your insights - wonderful post.thanks for your insights - wonderful post.stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07160467729480077890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-17181777923968301522008-11-13T19:04:00.000-05:002008-11-13T19:04:00.000-05:00do you know anything about the Zissou in the first...do you know anything about the Zissou in the first photo? I personally would also go for the Ray Metzker over any other for its qualities as an intriguing image, but above all others would want to own a Winogrand, plus who can resist seals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-12431028565100724062008-11-13T10:56:00.000-05:002008-11-13T10:56:00.000-05:00If I had the money I would buy Karl Struss of the ...If I had the money I would buy Karl Struss of the Flatiron Building.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5777454663138389757.post-43903304889618655552008-11-13T10:42:00.000-05:002008-11-13T10:42:00.000-05:00Good set, and if I were forced to choose I'd have ...Good set, and if I were forced to choose I'd have to go for the Shore.
