So here it is - the show based on a selection of photographers I had written about on this blog. We hung the show in about 5 hours yesterday and the opening is tonight from 6 to 8. (So any readers in NYC please drop by.) The concept I had in my mind was a lively, chock-a-block installation, where everything has its own place in contrast to everything else, and I feel the space is now bursting with energy. So I'm very happy!

I am enjoying galleries mixing and matching or putting pictures in themes. It does bring a different energy. I WISH I could be there.
On the West coast, so little chance of dropping by for the opening, much as I would like to. Terrific though, to get a taste through your blog. It kind of makes my day here, in the cubicle.
ps Thank you for bringing the work of Patrick Smith to my attention. At first a little confusing as there is another Patrick Smith--photographer--out there on the web, based in Utah. Not to be confused with the Patrick Smith you are showing (Paris).

The photographs of the woman turned away from the camera are by David Schoerner. They are from a series of photographs based on Gerhard Richter's painting "Betty" done in 1988.

hi, I stopped in last night but was too shy to introduce myself and say I came because I read the blog - but it was a great setup and wonderful work. It was nice to see things you've posted to the blog in large format. I look forward to the next exhibition :-)
