For anyone who missed it, here are Jay Z & Alicia Keys performing "Empire State Of Mind" before last night's Game 2 in the World Series at Yankee Stadium. The ball players expressions are priceless - a mixture of bemusement and enjoyment! And it did the trick for the New York Yankees who went on to win the game 3 -1 to tie the series at 1 -1.

Thanks for that clip, as I missed it from the game. I don't think it will replace Sinatra (or Liza) as the game-ending anthem for the Yanks, but it was certainly electric, in a way that reminded me of another iconic opener--Marvin Gaye singing the National Anthem before the 1983 NBA All-Star game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRvVzaQ6i8A). It brought the house down.

I'm with Jaydee. There's Marvin Gaye's version....and then there's everyone else's.
